Preparation & realization
Preparations for this project started in 2018, when the purchase of this historic monument gave a dream the opportunity to become reality: to rise De Haan’s originally most luxurious hotel like a phoenix from its ashes. Linking respect for historical heritage in its purest form with contemporary climate-neutral technology, cherished in a luxurious boutique hotel with popular brasserie à la Parisienne.
That became the challenge! As Europe prescribes, extra attention was paid to saving energy and water, limiting waste and pursuing C02 neutrality. We have been operational since the summer of 2023 and all objectives have been achieved. Yet we continue to constantly evolve with our finger on the pulse to get even closer to the perfection of sustainable entrepreneurship; This is how we stay alert and up to date!
When choosing our materials and raw materials, we found partners who perfectly match our philosophy. We buy everything you see, eat and drink from (West) Flemish producers, suppliers and growers who have been meticulously selected to make and keep our story credible, because sustainability is the foundation of our business operations.
